Wellness can be defined as a lifelong process that at any given time produces a positive state of personal well-being that includes: A positive self-image. Optimal physical, psychological and social functioning, and the control of both internal and external risk factors for both disease and negative health conditions. Wellness is a process rather than a goal. This means developing attitudes and engaging in behaviors that enhance quality of life and maximize personal potential.
